Job summary

The Methodist Church in Britain seeks a Paramedic Practitioner to join the acute duty team at a busy GP practice in Billingshurst. You will perform same-day acute home visits, clinical assessment, treatment planning and referrals, plus telephone triage and clinics.

You will share home-visiting duties with another paramedic practitioner, with hours scheduled to ensure continuous coverage across the week.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration required
• Paramedic degree or equivalent experience
• Two-year Consolidation of Learning as a newly qualified paramedic completed

Responsibilities

• Undertake same-day acute home visits with clinical assessment and management plans
• Provide paramedic care in clinics, home visits and telephone triage under GP supervision
• Make differential diagnoses, order investigations and referrals
• Triage appointment requests and prioritise need
• Carry out ECGs and interpret results
• Collect pathological specimens and perform investigations
• Develop ongoing care plans and contribute to anticipatory care planning
• Maintain accurate patient records and uphold data protection standards
• Promote healthy lifestyles and participate in practice training sessions
