Job summary

West Midlands Ambulance Service University NHS Foundation Trust in Erdington Hub is seeking a Clinical Team Mentor to support operational staff, uphold clinical standards and deliver safe patient care.

The role requires HCPC registered Paramedics with at least 12 months post-qualification experience and completion of NQP consolidation/portfolio sign-off; mentoring and assessments are core. You will coach, observe and guide staff within the hub to ensure patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• HCPC registered paramedic with twelve months post-qualification experience and completed NQP consolidation/portfolio sign-off.
• Evidence of WMAS/University mentor experience or qualification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Professional Registration as a Paramedic and undertake continual professional development, to maintain skill levels and knowledge.
• Recognise and report safeguarding concerns through a single point of access.
• Adhere to Misuse of Drugs Act and relevant medication legislation in practice.
• Adhere to laws governing controlled drugs carried within the Trust.
• Conduct dynamic risk assessments to ensure scene and staff safety.
• Liaise with other emergency services per JESIP principles when required.
• Mentor and supervise staff, provide feedback and escalate concerns as needed.
• Support portfolio work for students and complete documentation and reports.
