North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Clinical Support Manager (Band 8a) to lead the Advanced Paramedic Practitioner cohort across Cumbria & Lancashire. You will provide line management, clinical governance and development support, while ensuring safe, high-quality pre-hospital care and effective use of resources.

Applicants should have HCPC registration, a Master's in advanced practice and a teaching/mentoring qualification.

Qualifications

• HCPC-registered paramedic with full autonomous practice.
• Masters-level qualification in advanced practice.
• Formal teaching or mentoring qualification.
• Full UK driving licence including category C1.

Responsabilités

• Provide visible, compassionate line management and clinical leadership for the Advanced Paramedic Practitioner team, including appraisal, wellbeing, performance, attendance and development.
• Deliver clinical supervision and operational contact time, supporting CPD and medicines governance.
• Plan and coordinate operational cover, rostering, abstractions, vehicles, equipment and consumables to support safe and effective service delivery.
• Maintain advanced clinical competence through regular clinical shifts and leadership in incidents.
• Monitor clinical quality, audit findings, incidents, complaints, risks and performance indicators; translate learning into improvement.
• Coordinate complex case management and contribute to patient safety investigations and actions.
• Chair the Area Enhanced Care Forum and support learning across the area and wider regional clinical leadership network.
• Represent or deputise for the Area Consultant Paramedic and build relationships with teams and external partners.
