Job Overview:

The Paramedic will provide Advanced Life Support (ALS) services to patients.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Current Driver's License meeting insurance requirements
  • NJ Paramedic Certification or National Registry Paramedic Certification (reciprocity eligible)
  • American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR)
  • AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
  • AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support
  • Hazmat Awareness Certification
  • ICS 100, 200, and NIMS 700, 800 certifications
  • Weapons of Mass Destruction or CBRNE Awareness training

Preferred:

  • PHTLS/ITLS
  • Associate Degree

Certifications and Licenses Required:

  • NJ Paramedic Certification or National Registry Paramedic Certification (reciprocity eligible)

  • AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Per Diem: Provide 10 shifts of availability, work 6 shifts over 3 months, including summer and winter holidays, and 2 weekend shifts in the region. Maintain minimum shifts.
  • Part-Time: Two scheduled shifts per week (total 4 over 2 weeks), with at least 2 weekend shifts, totaling 24 hours/week.
  • Full-Time: Three shifts/week, including weekends, with a rotating schedule, totaling 36 hours/week.

  • Maintain professionalism, effective communication, and safety standards
  • Report deficiencies and unusual circumstances promptly
  • Provide patient care according to protocols
  • Operate vehicles per laws and policies
  • Complete required training and documentation
  • Interact professionally with all stakeholders
  • Perform routine safety and compliance duties
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
