Job summary

CRA Consulting is seeking a Paralegal to join its Real Estate & Projects team in Leeds. You will support Solicitors on complex property matters and manage your own caseload, assisting with development transactions, stock transfers, and related property work.

The role involves advising providers of social housing, landowners, investors and developers, with a collaborative team culture and opportunities for progression. Hybrid working with at least 3 office days per week is offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2:2 Law degree (or equivalent/conversion).
• 3+ years' experience in conveyancing process (commercial or residential background accepted).
• Strong drafting and legal research skills.
• Excellent organisation and diary management abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Clear and confident communication in plain English.
• Methodical approach with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Self-motivated, professional and a team player.

Responsibilities

• Assisting Solicitors and Fee Earners with day-to-day file management.
• Drafting transaction summaries and reports (Land Agreements, Development Agreements, Transfers, Sectional Agreements).
• Reviewing due diligence searches as part of reports on title.
• Producing and inputting reports on title for development site acquisitions.
• Assisting with land transfers and post-completion formalities.
• Preparing completion statements, submitting priority searches and liaising with clients.
• Undertaking Land Registry applications and handling requisitions.
• Drafting deeds and ancillary documents (Deeds of Covenant, Land Registry certificates, Transfers).
• Meeting departmental targets and adhering to firm procedures and regulatory requirements.
