Job summary

Envair Technology in Heywood, Lancashire, is seeking a Panel Wirer to join our expanding team. You will build electrical appliances from wiring diagrams, maintain SOPs and electrical test records, and support a production-focused environment with quality workmanship.

Ideally you will have 18th edition knowledge or be willing to take an associated course, plus City & Guilds qualifications. The role offers a stable, on-site workplace with opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• Qualified to 18th edition or willing to attend an 18th edition course.
• Experience fault-finding in electrical systems and reading wiring diagrams.
• Knowledge of BS EN 60204/61010/60079 regulations.

Responsibilities

• Build electrical appliances from wiring diagrams within a small team.
• Maintain SOPs and keep electrical test records up to date.
• Ensure workmanship meets company standards and safety requirements.
• Identify materials from drawings and assemble sub-assemblies.
• Occasionally travel to customer sites to support installation.

We are currently looking for a Panel Wirer to join us in Heywood working within a growing team.

As a panel wirer you will be part of a team of skilled and semi-skilled electricians, building electrical appliances from wiring diagrams and maintaining the applicable standard operating procedures and for the upkeep of all electrical test records.

Our clean and bright 63,000 sq. Ft site in Heywood, Lancashire is the largest containment factory in the northwest, just minutes from the M66 and M62. Your Role

As a Panel Wirer You Will

• Be hands-on, working within a small team of skilled and semi-skilled electricians, building electrical appliances from wiring diagrams
• Be responsible for maintaining the applicable standard operating procedures and for the upkeep of all electrical test records
• Ideally have experience of working as part of a production electricians’ team and have good quality workmanship that upholds company standards, complies with wiring designs and follows safety requirements
• Have extensive experience of working with drawings, specifications and wiring diagrams to identify appropriate materials, sequence of operations and build electrical sub-assemblies
• Be willing to occasionally travel to customer sites and to support the installation team

About You

• Ideally be qualified to 18th edition and have a working knowledge of IEE regulations, or be willing to attend an 18th edition course
• Ideally have City & Guilds 2360, 2382 and 2391 qualifications
• Have knowledge of the following regulations: BS EN 60204, BS EN 61010, BS EN 60079
• Have significant experience and working knowledge of electrical systems, be able to fault-find, and carry out system diagnostics and risk assessments
• Be self-motivated with a results driven approach
• Have good problem-solving skills, always seeking to improve performance
