Job summary

Rolls-Royce in Winsford is seeking a Wiring Technician / Panel Builder to join the Electrical Assembly team. You will build, wire and install electrical distribution panels and switchboards to high safety and quality standards for marine and industrial applications.

Working from schematics you will assemble components, perform fault diagnosis, and ensure reliable, safe connections. A Level 2 qualification in electrical fitting with LV switchboard experience is preferred, with 17th/18th Edition

Qualifications

  • Qualified to at least Level 2 in electrical fitting, ideally via an apprenticeship.
  • Experience in LV switchboard or panel assembly in industrial or marine environment.
  • Ability to read and work from electrical wiring diagrams and schematics.
  • Strong manual skills with attention to detail and electrical safety awareness.
  • Holding (or working toward) 17th or 18th Edition wiring regulations certification; IPC or testing certifications desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble electrical control panels and switchboards using schematics and build instructions.
  • Install components, copper bus-bars, power and control wiring per IEE 17th/18th Edition.
  • Perform fault diagnosis, electrical testing, and repairs to ensure safety and functionality.
  • Use calibrated tooling, torque wrenches and crimp tools for high-precision, low-voltage builds.
