Job summary

Applied Automation is seeking a skilled electrical assembler to join its Marine & Build to Print Division. The role involves wiring bespoke instrument panels, AC/DC panels, and mains distribution boxes, plus assembling PCBs and heavy-duty cables in a fast-paced production environment.

The ideal candidate will understand wiring symbols/diagrams, be proficient with soldering irons, crimping tools and power tools, and demonstrate high attention to detail with strong communication to explain drawing

Qualifications

• Electrical assembly experience preferred but not essential.
• Strong understanding of electrical wiring symbols and diagrams.
• Proficient with various hand tools such as soldering irons, crimping tools, power tools.
• High attention to detail with a quality over quantity mindset.
• Good communication skills to explain differences within issued drawings.

Responsibilities

• Wire bespoke electrical instrument panels.
• Wire and assemble bespoke AC/DC panels.
• Wire and assemble mains distribution boxes.
• Assemble bespoke PCBs and sub-assemblies.
• Execute heavy duty cable and loom assemblies.
• Read, interpret and work from electrical schematics.
• Flag material shortages or drawing queries immediately.
• Manage workload to meet time sensitive production targets.
• Maintain clean and tidy work areas following health and safety policies.

Purpose of the Role

The individual will be tasked with building, wiring and integration of electrical control panels, distribution boxes, looms and harnesses according to drawings and specifications. The role requires soldering, crimping, and high standard wiring for the UK and Worldwide marketplace.

• Wire Bespoke electrical instrument panels
• Wire and assemble bespoke AC/DC panels
• Wire and assemble mains distribution boxes
• Assemble bespoke PCBs and sub-assemblies
• Execute heavy duty cable and loom assemblies
• Read, interpret and work from electrical schematics
