Job summary

Sherwood Truck and Van, part of the Guest Motor Group, is recruiting for an automotive technician to carry out repairs on LCV & HGV vehicles at our UK-wide dealer network. The role focuses on strip/rebuild work, welding, basic fabrication, and preparing surfaces for re-spray, with careful documentation of each job.

Working hours are 7:00am–3:30pm, Monday to Friday (40 hours per week). Applicants must hold suitable Vehicle Maintenance and Repair qualifications and demonstrate a logical mindset to

Qualifications

• Must have appropriate qualifications/training certificates in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Logical mind-set.

Responsibilities

• Carry out repairs as per job card/instructions.
• Be conversant with LCV & HGV.
• Strip damaged areas of the vehicle.
• Weld new or repaired panels into place.
• Some light fabrication may be required.
• Ensure that the finished repair corresponds with the rest of the vehicle or prepare the surface for re-spray.
• Complete accurate records of jobs.
