Job summary

Auto Skills UK is looking for a skilled Panel Beater / Panel Technician for a permanent role in Heywood. You will restore damaged vehicles to structural and cosmetic standards, using specialist tools, and ensure precise gaps and alignment.

A recognised Level 3 qualification or apprenticeship in Vehicle Body Repair is essential. The role offers a stable Monday–Friday schedule (8:00am–5:00pm), a competitive basic salary (£38,000–£40,000+), and an attractive OTE (£45,000+).

Qualifications

• Recognised apprenticeship or Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Body Repair.
• Previous experience as a Panel Beater/Panel Technician or Vehicle Body Repair Technician.
• Able to use body repair tools and equipment safely and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality repairs.
• Able to manage workload efficiently while maintaining repair standards.

Responsibilities

• Assess vehicle damage and identify repairs required.
• Repair and replace damaged body panels and components.
• Use appropriate tools to reshape, align, and repair panels.
• Carry out structural and cosmetic body repairs per repair procedures.
• Ensure panel gaps, alignment and fit meet required standards.
• Work efficiently while maintaining high workmanship standards.
• Follow health and safety procedures and keep a clean workspace.
