Job summary

ENS Recruitment in Southend-on-Sea is recruiting for a Semi-Skilled Prep Hand / Panel Beater. A £35,000 - £40,000 basic salary is on offer, depending on skills and experience. The role runs Monday to Friday 8am-6pm with alternate Saturday mornings in a friendly independent body shop.

You will join a small team, preparing and repairing vehicles following accident damage, with opportunities to develop panel beating and body repair skills in a professional environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in vehicle preparation and/or panel beating.
• Good attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
• Willingness to learn and develop their skills.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A reliable, positive and professional attitude.
• Good understanding of vehicle body repair processes.

Responsibilities

• Preparing vehicles for repair and paint.
• Carrying out minor panel repairs.
• Filler work and removing/fitting vehicle panels.
• Carrying out filling, sanding and prep work.
• Ensuring vehicles are prepared to a high standard before painting.
• Maintaining a clean, safe working area.
• Working to meet repair deadlines and quality standards.
• Permanent position within an established independent body shop.
• Friendly and supportive working environment.
• Opportunity to develop panel beating and body repair skills.
