Job summary

APOLLO 2000 LIMITED in Dagenham is seeking a full-time Panel Beater / Prepper to assess vehicle damage, perform panel beating and repairs, and prepare surfaces for refinishing in a busy workshop.

You will fill, sand, mask and prime panels, align them for a correct fit, and work closely with paint technicians while maintaining high safety standards.

Qualifications

• Strong maintenance & repair and vehicle bodywork skills for panels and components.
• Ability to troubleshoot on vehicle body issues and identify repair methods.
• Experience with heavy equipment and workshop tools for panel beating and prep.
• Supervisory or mentoring experience is beneficial.
• Previous panel beater/prepper or body repair experience in an automotive workshop.
• Good understanding of health and safety practices in a bodyshop environment.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow repair specifications.
• Vocational training or certification in body repair or automotive engineering is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Panel Beater / Prepper role based in Dagenham. The role involves assessing vehicle body damage, carrying out panel beating, straightening, and repairs, and preparing panels and surfaces for refinishing. Day-to-day tasks include filling, sanding, masking, and priming, as well as aligning panels and ensuring correct fit and finish. The Panel Beater / Prepper will work closely with paint technicians and other workshop team members to meet quality standards and deadlines, follow health and safety procedures, and maintain tools and equipment. The role may also include basic vehicle checks and supporting colleagues with general workshop duties as required.

Qualifications
