AutoSkills (United Kingdom) in Slough is seeking a skilled Panel Beater/Panel Technician for a permanent, Monday to Friday role. You will carry out accident damage repairs to restore vehicles to pre-accident condition using manufacturer-approved methods and high-quality standards.

The position offers an early finish at 4:30pm and a collaborative team environment with opportunities to work with MET Technicians, Painters and the Workshop Controller to keep repairs on schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Panel Beater/Technician in an accident repair centre or bodyshop.
• Recognised apprenticeship or Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Accident Repair Body.
• Competent welding skills including MIG/MAG and spot welding.
• Solid knowledge of manufacturer repair methods and safe working practices.

Responsibilities

• Assess accident damage and decide on the most effective repair method.
• Repair damaged panels using traditional panel beating and modern techniques.
• Remove, replace and align bolt‑on and welded panels.
• Carry out MIG/MAG and spot welding where required.
• Prepare repaired areas to a high standard for the paint shop.
• Follow manufacturer repair methods and health and safety procedures.
• Work with MET Technicians, Painters and Workshop Controller to keep repairs on schedule.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, accuracy and attention to detail.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 4:30pm

THE ROLE

As a Panel Beater / Panel Technician, you will carry out accident damage panel repairs, returning vehicles to their pre-accident condition using manufacturer-approved methods and to the required quality standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assessing accident damage and deciding on the most effective repair method.
• Repairing damaged panels using traditional panel beating and modern repair techniques.
• Removing, replacing and aligning bolt-on and welded panels.
• Carrying out MIG/MAG and spot welding where required.
• Preparing repaired areas to a high standard ready for the paint shop.
• Following manufacturer repair methods and health and safety procedures.
• Working with MET Technicians, Painters and the Workshop Controller to keep repairs on schedule.
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship, accuracy and attention to detail.

ABOUT YOU

• Previous experience as a Panel Beater or Panel Technician within an accident repair centre or Bodyshop.
• Recognised apprenticeship or Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Accident Repair Body (NVQ / IMI / SVQ / VRQ / ATA or equivalent).
• Competent welding skills, including MIG/MAG and spot welding.
• Good understanding of manufacturer repair methods and safe working practices.
• Able to work accurately and maintain high standards of workmanship.
• A reliable, organised approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
