Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Panel Beater within a busy bodyshop environment.
• Knowledge of repair techniques including welding, panel straightening, and surface finishing.

Responsibilities

• Assess vehicle damage and provide repair estimates.
• Dismantle vehicles and remove panels, bumpers, lights, and trims.
• Repair or replace damaged panels using hand tools, power tools, and welding techniques.
• Straighten and align vehicle frames and chassis using hydraulic equipment and measuring systems.
• Perform welding and metalwork to restore vehicle integrity.
• Prepare surfaces for painting through sanding, filling, and priming, with some involvement in final paintwork.
• Reassemble vehicles and conduct quality inspections to ensure safety standards.

Duties of the Panel Beater:

• Assess vehicle damage thoroughly, providing accurate repair estimates
