Job summary

Auto Skills UK is seeking an experienced Panel Beater / Panel Technician in Crawley to perform high-quality aluminium vehicle repairs in a professional bodyshop environment.

Role offers an OTE of £60,000 with a basic salary of £40,000 - £54,000 DOE, Monday to Friday, 42.5 hours per week, 8:00am - 5:00pm. Must hold Aluminium Welding Certificate and have aluminium repair experience.

Qualifications

• Must hold Aluminium Welding Certificate - Essential for the role.
• Experience carrying out aluminium welding and aluminium vehicle body repairs.
• Recognised apprenticeship or Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Body Repair (NVQ / IMI / SVQ / ATA).
• Strong knowledge of modern vehicle body construction and accident repair techniques.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out aluminium vehicle body repairs and welding in accordance with required repair methods.
• Repairing, replacing, aligning, and fitting vehicle body panels and components.
• Carrying out structural and non-structural repairs to accident-damaged vehicles.
• Assessing damaged panels and determining the appropriate repair or replacement methods.
• Using specialist body repair and aluminium welding equipment safely and effectively.
• Working to manufacturer repair methods and relevant industry standards.
• Working closely with MET Technicians, Paint Technicians, and other Bodyshop colleagues to maintain an efficient repair process.
• Completing allocated repairs within agreed timescales while maintaining excellent workmanship and quality standards.

THE ROLE

ABOUT YOU

This opportunity is specifically suited to an experienced Panel Beater / Panel Technician / Vehicle Body Repair Technician with proven aluminium repair experience.

You MUST hold an Aluminium Welding Certificate - Essential for the role.

You’ll ideally have:

• Previous experience as a Panel Beater or Panel Technician within a professional bodyshop or accident repair environment.
• Proven experience carrying out aluminium welding and aluminium vehicle body repairs.
• Recognised apprenticeship or Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Body Repair (NVQ / IMI / SVQ / ATA), with ongoing commitment to continuous professional development.
• Strong knowledge of modern vehicle body construction and accident repair techniques.
• Experience carrying out structural and non-structural body repairs.
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality workmanship.
• The ability to work efficiently while maintaining consistently high standards.
• A full UK driving licence.
