MorePeople is seeking a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer in Poole, Dorset, offering a salary up to £53,000. The role operates on a Panama two-week rotation with days and nights, 12-hour shifts, and a focus on maintaining production equipment in a food manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will carry out planned and reactive maintenance, fault-finding across electrical and mechanical systems, and work with production teams to ensure safe, reliable operation.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in engineering required.
• Strong electrical and mechanical maintenance experience.
• Industrial fault-finding and diagnostic experience.
• Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, food or similar environments.
• Experience carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance.
• Proactive approach to problem solving.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across production equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults.
• Respond to machinery breakdowns and minimise downtime.
• Deliver preventative maintenance to improve equipment reliability.
• Identify recurring faults and contribute to long-term fixes.
• Support continuous improvement and engineering projects.
• Work closely with production teams to maintain operational performance.
• Ensure high standards of engineering and site safety.
