Job summary

Responsibilities

• Draft written responses to PALS concerns, using a high standard of grammar and punctuation.
• Respond to all PALS concerns within the timescale set by the Trust and monitor workload to ensure response times are met.
• Differentiate between issues that can be dealt with quickly (PALS) and those needing formal complaints.
• Liaise with external agencies, e.g. Public Health Service Ombudsman, Coroners Office.
• Ensure PALS processes adhere to Data Protection/ Confidentiality/ Caldicott / GDPR principles.
• Actively promote diversity across the Trust and generate relationships that uphold dignity, rights and responsibilities.
• Identify and take action to address discrimination and oppression.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support and complement care quality.
• Monitor health, safety and security of self and colleagues; manage risk per policy and legislation.
• Develop own skills through continuing professional development and performance reviews.
