Job summary

Isle of Wight NHS Trust is seeking a compassionate PALS Co-ordinator to be the first point of contact for patients, families and visitors seeking advice and support. You will help resolve enquiries, signpost to services and maintain accurate records to improve patient experience.

The role sits in the Experience of Care Team and requires excellent customer service, empathy and strong IT skills. The post is based at St Mary’s Hospital, Newport on a full-time, permanent basis.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 or equivalent.
• Educated to GCSE level or equivalent experience.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programmes

Responsibilities

• Provide empathetic, responsive advice to patients and carers.
• Respond to enquiries independently where able.
• Communicate with patients and service users in person, by phone and in writing.
