Job summary

St Michaels Hospice Hastings & Rother is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our palliative care team in the In-Patient Unit. You will deliver compassionate, patient-centered care and work within a multidisciplinary team to support patients and their families through illness and end-of-life care.

We welcome newly qualified nurses and those with transferable skills, offering flexible full-time and part-time hours, a supportive learning environment and opportunities to develop clinical competences

Qualifications

• Must hold current UK professional registration.
• Registered Nurse with willingness to work in palliative care.
• Disclosure check required (DBS).

Responsibilities

• Work within the nursing and multi-professional team to ensure a high standard of care within the In-Patient Unit (IPU).
• Organise own workload with regards to assessing patient needs, planning, implementation and evaluation of a programme of care.
• Practice evidence-based care that respects lifestyle, gender and cultural background and involves family and carers as per patient wishes.
