Job summary

Sue Ryder, based at Duchess of Kent Hospice in Reading, is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our palliative care team. The role covers 36 hours per week across three 12-hour shifts to deliver compassionate, high-quality nursing care.

Qualifications

• NMC Registration as a practicing nurse.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of current legislation in independent care sector.
• Experience in neurological or palliative care is desirable.
• Able to work well in a team and independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide support, leadership, recognition and supervision to junior staff.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualized clinical care.
• Use evidence-based practice to develop and maintain high-quality care.
• Ensure the team delivers all care in line with the care plan.
• Assist with admission and discharge planning for service users.
