Job summary

Sue Ryder’s Duchess of Kent Hospice in Reading is seeking a Clinical Team Leader to guide the nursing team and ensure high-quality end-of-life care within a supportive environment. You will lead care planning, supervise staff, and coordinate with the multidisciplinary team to meet service-user needs.

The role requires NMC registration and experience in palliative care; a 37.5-hour rotational pattern including days, nights and weekends is offered with enhanced pay for unsociable hours.

Qualifications

• Must hold NMC registration and have experience leading clinical teams.
• Experience in specialist palliative or neurological care as required by service.
• Knowledge of current legislation within independent care sector.

Responsibilities

• Lead the nursing team to develop the quality of nursing care.
• Consult and liaise with the multi-disciplinary team, service users and carers over care.
• Assess potential service users in liaison with Health/Social Services commissioners.
• Produce accurate records of service user consultation and care decisions.
• Ensure formal supervision for clinical staff in line with requirements.
