The role requires an active NMC registration with UK experience, mentor training or willingness to train, and commitment to professional development within a compassionate palliative care environment.

Qualifications

• NMC registered with post-registration UK clinical experience.
• Completion of mentor training or willing to undertake.
• Evidence of continuing professional development.
• Experience leading an inpatient care team.
• Knowledge of current legislation in the independent care sector.

Responsibilities

• Providing support, leadership, recognition and supervision to other members of the team.
• Sharing knowledge and expertise with other staff through formal and informal teaching.
• Acting as a mentor to student nurses.
• Producing accurate, timely and complete records.
