Job summary

Heart of Kent Hospice is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our compassionate inpatient team for 21 hours and 30 minutes per week, with 10 hours and 45 minutes per shift. The role focuses on high-quality palliative care, symptom management, and end-of-life support within a CQC-rated Outstanding hospice.

You will work in a multidisciplinary team, delivering patient-centred care, and contribute to quality improvement while promoting staff wellbeing and professional development.

Qualifications

• Registered General Nurse with current registration.
• Proven commitment to continuous personal development.
• Proven achievement in quality improvement.
• Experience working in a palliative care setting.
• Knowledge of symptom management, end of life care and recognizing palliative care emergencies.
• Knowledge of the key CQC standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centred care on the Inpatient Unit.
• Work within a small multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.
• Continue to develop clinical practice and skills in palliative care.
• Support patients and families to ensure a positive experience and wellbeing.
