Job summary

St Helena Hospice is seeking a Clinical Trainer to join our Education Team, working Wednesdays and Thursdays, 9.00am–5.00pm. The role covers training across three local hospices and in external care settings, with a mix of in-person, webinar and hybrid sessions.

You will develop new courses, nurture staff development, maintain professional registration, and build relationships with healthcare assistants, care homes and agency staff to promote hospice education.

Qualifications

• Professional qualification in health and social care (NVQ 3 or above).
• Knowledge of palliative and end-of-life care.
• IT literacy including database work.
• Knowledge of educational and practice development initiatives.
• Full driving licence and access to transport.

Responsibilities

• Provide education and training for three local hospices and external organisations.
• Plan sessions and develop new topics in palliative and end-of-life care.
• Deliver webinars, face-to-face and hybrid sessions regionally or nationally.
• Liaise with educators and trainers to meet training needs.
