Job summary

Claire House requires an Education Facilitator to deliver, evaluate and develop high-quality practice education across Care and Family Services. The role supports staff, bank staff and volunteers to achieve safe, evidence-based palliative and end-of-life care, including induction, preceptorship, and competency assessment.

You will coordinate placements, support learners, and work with education providers to enhance clinical education and maintain proficiency across inpatient and community

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with NMC registration and current clinical experience.
• Educated to degree level or equivalent knowledge and experience.
• Teaching or mentorship qualification including Train the Trainer.
• Qualification in Paediatric Palliative and End of Life care.
• Experience in coaching, supervision and education delivery.
• Experience planning, delivering and evaluating learning.
• Experience with apprenticeships or post-registration learner support.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, deliver and evaluate high-quality teaching for staff and learners.
• Use multiple teaching methods: classroom, bedside, simulation and e-learning.
• Adapt education to different roles and needs, ensuring evidence-based content.
• Contribute to annual education programme reviews and improvements.
• Promote psychologically safe learning environments for staff and learners.
• Support induction, preceptorship and continuing professional development.
• Coordinate student placements and supervise practice assessors.
• Maintain training records and monitor completion and competency.
• Collaborate with partners to support apprentices and post-registration learners.
• Ensure education aligns with governance, patient safety and quality standards.
