Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a Macmillan Clinical Nurse Specialist in Palliative Care. You will be part of the Manchester Macmillan Supportive and Palliative Care Service, working with neighborhood teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care.

The role includes education, staff development, and providing complex symptom management within a multidisciplinary team to improve quality of life for patients and carers.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with UK professional registration.
• Health related degree or equivalent portfolio experience.
• Evidence of highly specialist short courses or postgraduate training, or a relevant Master's degree.
• Ability to work towards V300 non-medical prescribing within 12 months of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Support neighbourhood teams to deliver locally driven high quality care.
• Educate health care professionals and provide training and guidance for the multidisciplinary team.
• Provide supportive palliative care to improve quality of life for patients and carers with life-limiting illness.
• Work within a multidisciplinary team to meet complex physical, psychological and emotional needs.
