Job summary

KM Recruitment is seeking a Painting and Decorating Tutor / Trainer (Trainee or Qualified) based in a centre setting. Salary £30,000 - £35,000 depending on qualifications and experience. This is a full-time, permanent role with a centre-based location.

The role involves teaching and assessing learners toward a vocational painting and decorating qualification within a classroom environment, with sessions designed to engage and develop skills, and embedding Maths and English into delivery.

Qualifications

• Must hold your own Level 2 NVQ in Painting and Decorating.
• Willingness to work towards teaching qualification - PTLLS/AET - fully funded and supported by employer
• Confident and comfortable to deliver training/workshops to groups of learners.

Responsibilities

• Teach/assess learners working towards a vocational qualification in Painting and Decorating within a classroom-based environment.
• Ensure sessions are motivating, engaging and develop learners' skills knowledge and behaviours
• Monitor student attendance and progress through regular student assessment and reviews.
• Provide advice and guidance to learners relating to decision making and progression.
• Embedding of Maths and English into sessions.
• Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner s needs.
