Job summary

RIU Plaza London Victoria is seeking a professional Painter to maintain the hotel’s aesthetics, including touch-ups, repainting, surface prep, and wall treatments across guest rooms and public areas.

You will support the maintenance team with reactive repairs and preventive tasks. A minimum of 1 year’s hotel industry experience is required.

• Perform high-quality painting, staining, varnishing, and surface finishing across guest rooms, corridors, lobby spaces, meeting rooms, and exterior areas.
• Match paint colors, finishes, and textures to maintain brand standards.
• Ensure drop cloths, masking tape, and protective barriers are used to safeguard furniture, flooring, and hotel fixtures during work.
• Monitor RIU App and perform tasks in a timely, professional manner.
• Carry out preventive maintenance (PPM) and record it.
• Carry out all Daily, Weekly and Monthly Safety Checks and record them.
• Troubleshoot and repair daily issues.
• HSE responsibility, carry out all Maintenance H&S checks.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to join RIU Plaza London Victoria as a Painter. In this role, your primary responsibility will be maintaining the aesthetic standards of the hotel through continuous touch-ups, repainting, surface preparation, and specialized wall treatments across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities. When painting tasks are complete, you will support the broader maintenance team with general property upkeep, reactive repairs, and preventative maintenance to ensure a seamless guest experience.

A minimum of 1 year's experience in the hotel industry is required for this role.

What You’ll Do

• Perform high-quality painting, staining, varnishing, and surface finishing across guest rooms, corridors

• Match paint colors, finishes, and textures accurately to maintain brand standards., lobby spaces, meeting rooms, and exterior areas.

• Ensure drop cloths, masking tape, and protective barriers are used to safeguard furniture, flooring, and hotel fixtures during work.

• Monitoring of RIU App and perform the requested task in a timely and professional manner.

• Carry out PPM works and record it.

• Carry out all Daily, Weekly and Monthly Safety Check and record it.

• Troubleshoot and repair the daily issues

• HSE Responsibility, Carry out all Maintenance H&S checks
