South West Recruitment is recruiting a Painter and Decorator to support the Council in Bournemouth, Dorset. The role involves general painting duties across council properties and assisting the Decorating team to prepare work areas.

This immediate start temporary position is 3 months with potential extension and possible permanent opportunities. Own transport is ideal (van may be provided) and DBS check is required.

Qualifications

• You are hardworking, enthusiastic, and willing to learn.
• You have good people skills.
• You may need to work on your own initiative.
• This position requires a Basic DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Paint, prep, mask, gloss and emulsion work across properties.
• General painting and decorating across council properties, helping prep work areas.
• Woodwork and wall work, minor filling and sanding.
• Assist the decorating team and maintain safe working practices.
