North Bay Group is hiring a Painter & Decorator to join a growing property maintenance team in Newcastle. This permanent, full-time role offers a 40-hour week (Monday to Friday) at £14.80 per hour, with a company vehicle provided and all materials supplied.

Working in occupied care home environments, you will paint and decorate with a two-person team, handle surface prep, coatings, and protective coverings, and ensure high workmanship and safety standards while delivering excellent service to

Formación

• DBS check completed or in process.
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Painter & Decorator.
• Valid UK driving licence.
• Good communication skills and professional attitude.
• Willingness to travel throughout the region and stay away occasionally if required.

Responsabilidades

• Internal painting and decorating within occupied care home environments.
• Surface preparation including sanding, filling, caulking and repairing defects.
• Apply paints, primers, wallpaper and coatings to walls, ceilings and woodwork.
• Protect furniture, fixtures and flooring before works commence.
• Maintain high workmanship, cleanliness and professionalism on site.
• Manage materials and report additional requirements to Estates Manager.
• Work efficiently to agreed programmes and timescales.
• Follow health & safety procedures at all times.
• Deliver excellent customer service when around residents and staff.

Join a Growing Property Maintenance Team

We are recruiting three decorating teams of two operatives, carrying out planned refurbishment and decoration works across our portfolio of care homes across the North of England.

This is a permanent position offering consistent work, a supportive team environment, company vehicle use, and the opportunity to be part of a business that takes pride in maintaining safe, welcoming environments for residents and staff.

What You'll Be Doing

Working as part of a two-person decorating team, you will be responsible for:

• Internal painting and decorating works within occupied care home environments.
• Surface preparation including sanding, filling, caulking, and repairing minor defects.
• Applying paints, primers, hanging wall paper and specialist coatings to walls, ceilings, woodwork and other surfaces.
• Protecting furniture, fixtures and flooring before works commence.
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship, cleanliness and professionalism on site.
• Managing materials and reporting additional requirements to the Estates Manager.
• Working efficiently to agreed programmes and project timescales.
• Ensuring all Health & Safety procedures are always followed.
• Delivering excellent standards of customer service when working around residents and care staff.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• Enhanced DBS check.
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Painter & Decorator.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Strong preparation and finishing skills.
• Reliable, self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Good communication skills and professional attitude.
• Willingness to travel throughout the region and stay away occasionally if required.

Desirable:

• Experience working in care homes, healthcare, hotels or occupied environments.
• Basic understanding of health and safety requirements.
