Job summary

North Bay Group is recruiting two-person Painter & Decorator teams to carry out planned refurbishment and decorating across our care home portfolio in the North of England. You will perform internal painting, surface prep, hanging wallpaper, and apply coatings while protecting residents' spaces and maintaining high workmanship standards.

This permanent, full-time role offers a guaranteed 40-hour week, Monday to Friday, a company vehicle, materials and equipment supplied, a company pension, and

Qualifications

• DBS check required.
• Minimum 2 years' experience as Painter & Decorator.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Strong preparation and finishing skills.
• Reliable, self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Good communication skills and professional attitude.
• Willingness to travel throughout the region and stay away occasionally if required.
• Desirable: Experience in care homes, healthcare, hotels or occupied environments.
• Desirable: Basic understanding of health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Internal painting and decorating works within occupied care home environments.
• Surface preparation including sanding, filling, caulking, and repairing minor defects.
• Applying paints, primers, hanging wall paper and specialist coatings to walls, ceilings, woodwork and other surfaces.
• Protecting furniture, fixtures and flooring before works commence.
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship, cleanliness and professionalism on site.
• Managing materials and reporting additional requirements to the Estates Manager.
• Working efficiently to agreed programmes and project timescales.
• Ensuring all Health & Safety procedures are always followed.
• Delivering excellent standards of customer service when working around residents and care staff.

Join a Growing Property Maintenance Team

Due to continued growth, North Bay Group is looking to recruit 6 experienced Painters & Decorators – 3 teams of 2 (1 team based in each of the areas - Cheshire & M62 Corridor, Northeast & East Coast, Yorkshire & M1 Corridor), to join our estates and property maintenance team.

We are recruiting three decorating teams of two operatives, carrying out planned refurbishment and decoration works across our portfolio of care homes across the North of England.

What You'll Be Doing

Working as part of a two-person decorating team, you will be responsible for:
