Pittaway Group is seeking an experienced Painter & Decorator to join our Hull-based team on a permanent, full-time basis. The role covers domestic, commercial and industrial projects with occasional UK travel.

We expect high-quality workmanship, reliability and punctuality. Accommodation is provided when working away, with overtime for weekend hours and standard pay of £16.40 per hour.

Hours: Guaranteed 39 hours per week

Overtime: Time and a half, with double time for weekend working

Due to continued work and growth, we are looking for a reliable and experienced Painter & Decorator to join our established team.

The role

This is a varied position where no two projects are necessarily the same. You will work across Hull and the surrounding areas on a range of high-quality painting and decorating projects, including domestic, commercial and industrial work.

We also undertake projects nationally, so there will occasionally be a requirement to work away from home. Where overnight stays are required, accommodation will be provided.

Typical duties will include:

• Preparing surfaces ready for painting and decorating
• Carrying out high-quality internal and external painting
• Applying a range of finishes to the required standard
• Working across domestic, commercial and industrial environments
• Ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard
• Maintaining a clean and professional working environment
• Working effectively as part of an experienced team
• Travelling to sites when required

The ideal candidate

You will need:

• Previous professional painting and decorating experience
• A valid CSCS Card
• A full UK driving licence
• A good standard of workmanship and attention to detail
• Reliability and excellent timekeeping
• A professional approach when working on customers' premises
• Flexibility to occasionally travel and work away from home
• A genuine interest in painting and decorating and producing quality work
