Job summary

The Francis Hotel (part of Sutton Hotel Collection) is seeking a friendly Painter and Decorator/Maintenance Team Member to keep the hotel safe, comfortable, and running smoothly for guests and staff alike. You will work across guest rooms and public areas, responding to maintenance requests, performing repairs, and helping prevent issues before they happen.

• Prepare surfaces for painting and decorating, including sanding, filling, and priming.
• Apply paint, wallpaper, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, and fixtures.
• Inspect guest rooms and public areas for cosmetic damage and wear.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks such as fixing doors, handles, locks, and fixtures.
• Carry out minor plumbing repairs (e.g. fixing leaks, replacing taps).
• Handle simple electrical tasks such as changing light bulbs and fittings.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas and tools.
• Ensure all decorating and maintenance work meets health and safety standards.
• Respond promptly to maintenance and repair requests.
• Weekend work - required on a Saturday every 2nd / 3rd weekend. Minimum 4hr
