Job summary

Avisford Park Hotel is seeking a skilled Painter & Decorator for a fixed term of 3 months. The role involves painting, wallpapering and general decorative maintenance across guest areas and back-of-house spaces.

Working on the night shift (10pm-6:30am), you will report to the Maintenance Manager and help keep the listed building in excellent condition, blending quality craftsmanship with strong health and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a painter & decorator, preferably in a hospitality or commercial setting.
• Strong knowledge of painting techniques, wallpaper application, and surface preparation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and high standards of craftsmanship.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations.

Avisford Park Hotel is located within 60 acres of grounds with 140 bedrooms, 15 meeting rooms and a fully equipped gym and leisure club and golf course for guests to enjoy, something for everyone.

The Role of Painter & Decorator - Fixed Term of 3 months

Night Working 10pm-6.30am

We have an opportunity for a Painter & Decorator to join the team to keep the hotel looking its best as we act as custodians of a unique and beautiful listed building built in 1760. The Painter & Decorator will be responsible for working in partnership with Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Assistant and the wider team to ensure that the hotel is in a great condition and supports making a memorable experience for our guests.

A key aspect of the role is to ensure that the hotel is looking well cared for and that all tasks are carried out to ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements and that the hotel is welcoming for all our guests and team. The successful candidate will forge a great rapport with colleagues of all levels and guests that they come into contact with.

The role of Painter & Decorator will report to the Maintenance Manager, this is an opportunity for a motivated individual who is passionate about using their skills and making a difference and delivering a great service in terms of maintenance but also great customer service.

This role is ideal for someone who has strong painting & decorating experience skills with great communication and time management who is able to work under their own initiative.
