Job summary

Thirteen Group in the Teesside area is seeking a permanent Painter to join our Repairs team. You will paint homes to tackle damp and mould issues, contributing to high-quality repairs and customer satisfaction.

We offer a company van, fuel card, tools, PPE, and a 8am–4pm Mon-Thu schedule with 8am–3:30pm on Fridays. Benefits include generous leave, a pension plan, and health support services through Simply Health.

Qualifications

• Time served as a Painter.
• Experience with damp and mould issues is desirable.
• Valid UK driving licence is required.
• Comfortable using digital devices or willing to learn; we allocate jobs via mobile/hand-held devices.

• Commitment to safe working practices and health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out painting works, ensuring quality and first-time-right results.
• Work in customers' homes with a focus on damp and mould repairs.
• Be based mainly in the Tees Valley area (Hartlepool, Stockton, Middlesbrough) with occasional travel.
• Planned jobs by Work Planners to maintain high repair standards.
• Contribute to the TradePlus scheme to gain diverse skills and improve efficiency.

Role Overview:

Thirteen Group is on the lookout for a Painter on a permanent basis to join our Repairs team. Working as part of a specialist in-house team, you’ll complete painting jobs in our customers’ homes to tackle damp and mould issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out painting works, taking pride in doing the job right first time.
• Ensure our homes meet the highest standards for our customers. We’ll provide you with a company van, fuel card, tools and any PPE you’ll need for the role.
• Work primarily in the Tees Valley area (Hartlepool, Stockton, Middlesbrough), with occasional travel beyond. Our working hours are 8am to 4pm Monday to Thursday, 8am to 3.30pm on Friday.
• Jobs are planned for you by our Work Planners – so you can concentrate on carrying out repairs to a high standard.
• Contribute to our ‘TradePlus’ scheme, acquiring diverse skills to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.

About You:

• Time served experience as a Painter.
• Ideally, you’ll have damp and mould experience.
• Must possess a valid UK driving licence.
• Comfortable using digital devices or be willing to learn. We use mobile and hand-held devices to allocate jobs and for you to record your completion of work.
• Skilled in general semi-skilled works and eager to assist in various trades.
• A commitment to safe working practices and a good grasp of health and safety regulations.
