Job summary

Urang Property Management Ltd in London seeks a Fixed Term Painter to maintain the presentation standards of a luxury residential block at Chelsea Bridge Wharf. You will perform daily painting and decorating to keep communal, front-of-house and service areas pristine.

The role requires attention to detail, experience in high-end settings, and the ability to work independently with the maintenance team while minimising disruption to residents. Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm, fixed-term contract.

Qualifications

• Proven painting and decorating experience, ideally within high-end residential or hotel settings.
• Exceptional attention to detail and pride in delivering a flawless finish.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills – interact professionally with residents and team members.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage workload independently and follow schedules.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety protocols and safe working practices in residential environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily painting and decorating tasks, maintaining communal and front-of-house areas to high standards.
• Identify and report deterioration, scuffs, or damage to walls, ceilings, woodwork, and finishes.
• Plan and prioritise painting tasks independently to minimise disruption to residents.
• Monitor high-traffic areas and apply preventative painting measures.
• Carry out interior and exterior painting, touch-ups, and surface prep in communal areas.
• Report feedback on any further works needed beyond scope.
• Collaborate with concierge and management to ensure minimal disruption to residents.
• Maintain cleanliness during works and protect surrounding finishes.
• Assist with decoration-related tasks as part of the general maintenance team.

About the role

The Fixed Term Painter plays a key role in upholding the exceptional presentation standards of a luxury residential block. Through routine painting and decorating, the Painter ensures all communal, front-of-house and service areas remain in pristine condition. As part of the wider maintenance team, this role directly supports the visual integrity and prestige of the building, helping to maintain its high-end appeal.

What You'll Do

• Perform daily painting and decorating tasks, ensuring all areas are maintained to the highest presentation standard.
• Proactively identify and report deterioration, scuffs, or damage to walls, ceilings, woodwork, and other finishes.
• Plan and prioritise painting tasks independently, ensuring minimal disruption to residents and operations.
• Monitor high-traffic and high-visibility areas, implementing preventative painting measures before damage becomes visible.
• Carry out internal and external painting, touching up, and surface preparation in communal areas.
• Report feedback on any further works needed beyond scope.
• Work closely with concierge and management team to ensure minimal disruption to residents.
• Maintain strict cleanliness during works, using dust sheets and protecting surrounding finishes and furnishings.
• Support general maintenance team with decoration-related tasks where required.
