Job summary

The Resident Edinburgh is seeking a skilled Painter to maintain high-quality finishes in guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house spaces. Work closely with the Maintenance Manager to plan decorating projects with minimal disruption and to uphold our presentation standards.

Responsibilities

• Carry out high-quality painting and decorating across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
• Prepare surfaces, including sanding, filling, and priming, to ensure finishes.
• Complete touch-ups, repairs, and room refresh projects to maintain standards.
• Work with the Maintenance Manager to plan decorating projects with minimal disruption to guests.
• Ensure tools, equipment and materials are stored safely and maintained in good condition.
• Monitor decorating supplies and report stock requirements.
• Keep work areas clean, safe and organized at all times.
• Identify and report maintenance issues discovered during decorating works.
• Promote a positive and professional image of the hotel through the quality of workmanship.
