Job summary

Evans Halshaw Leeds Bodyshop is seeking a Paint Technician to carry out all aspects of paint spraying on a wide range of vehicles in our new, state-of-the-art workshops. You will prepare equipment and bodywork, maintain and clean tools, and manage paints and stock to support high-quality finishes.

Essentially you will hold a relevant Body and Paint qualification (City & Guilds, IMI or BTEC) and a full UK driving licence, with automotive spray experience desirable.

  • A relevant Body and Paint qualification (City & Guilds, IMI or BTEC)
  • Experience within a paint spraying role, automotive experience is desirable but not essential
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality
  • The ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
  • A full UK driving licence

Responsibilities

  • Carry out all aspects of paint spraying on a wide range of vehicles, as well as minor body repair work
  • Prepare paint spraying equipment and bodywork of the car
  • Maintain and clean equipment, as well as storing the paints in the correct conditions
  • Managing inventory of paints and equipment

  • Basic salary of up to £36,400, dependent on skills and experience
  • OTE from £46,400, with UNCAPPED EARNING POTENTIAL

As a Paint Technician, you’ll be tasked with carrying out all aspects of paint spraying on a wide range of vehicles in our new, state-of-the-art workshops. Working with all the latest equipment, you will also be responsible for minor body repair work for vehicles.

To be a Paint Technician, it is essential that you hold a full UK drivers’ licence.
