Job summary

Evans Halshaw Ford Merthyr Tydfil is recruiting a skilled Paint Technician to join our state‑of‑the‑art workshop. You’ll spray paint, carry out minor body repairs, prepare equipment and maintain paints, using the latest tools.

You must hold a full UK driving licence and a qualifying body and paint credential (City & Guilds, IMI or BTEC). A passion for quality and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential.

Qualifications

  • A relevant Body and Paint qualification (City & Guilds, IMI or BTEC).
  • Experience within a paint spraying role; automotive experience desirable.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out all aspects of paint spraying on a wide range of vehicles, as well as minor body repair work.
  • Prepare paint spraying equipment and bodywork of the car.
  • Maintain and clean equipment, as well as storing the paints in the correct conditions.
  • Managing inventory of paints and equipment.

  • Basic salary of up to £33,000, dependent on skills and experience
  • OTE from £46,400, with UNCAPPED EARNING POTENTIAL

As a Paint Technician, you’ll be tasked with carrying out all aspects of paint spraying on a wide range of vehicles in our new, state-of-the-art workshops. Working with all the latest equipment, you will also be responsible for minor body repair work for vehicles.

To be a Paint Technician, it is essential that you hold a full UK drivers’ licence.
