Job summary

Evans Halshaw Wolverhampton Bodyshop is hiring a SMART Repair Technician to join our busy SMART teams across the UK. You’ll carry out SMART repairs and cosmetic paint work on a wide range of vehicles, including wheels, using color matching techniques and high standards of finish.

We may offer uncapped earning potential with a £2,000 joining bonus and 33 days holiday. A full UK driving licence is required, and prior SMART/Wheel repair experience is preferred but transferable skills are welcome.

Qualifications

• Experience in SMART or Wheel repair in automotive settings.
• Transferrable skills welcome from valeting, detailing or painting roles.

Responsibilities

• Carry out SMART repairs on a wide range of vehicles.
• Perform cosmetic paint repairs to high standards.
• Mix and color-match, paint repaired areas to a polished finish.
• Keep up to date with SMART repair industry standards.
• Repair painted or diamond cut wheels to restore finish.

As our SMART Technician you’ll be tasked with the following:

• Carrying out all aspects of SMART repair to a wide range of vehicles in our workshop
• Cosmetic paint repairs working to our internal used car preparation standard
• Mixing and colour matching, painting all repaired areas to a high standard, with a polished finish
• Keeping up to date and learning the industry standards of SMART repair techniques
• Repairing painted or diamond cut wheels that have scrapes and scuffs back to a high standard of re-finish

What does it take to make it as a SMART Repair Technician and progress with one of the UK’s largest SMART repair operations?

• Previous experience as a SMART or Wheel Technician in automotive
• We welcome new to industry applicants with relevant, transferrable skills. Roles such as Valeting, detailing or experience of painting
• A full UK Driving Licence
