Job summary

Caterpillar is seeking a Paint Team Leader for the Day shift at Desford, Leicestershire. You will lead a production team, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency while meeting daily targets on the line that builds our world class products.

The role emphasizes coaching, lean methods, and active participation in CI/RIW activities to drive continuous improvement within the paint operations. This is a full-time, day-shift position with strong benefits and a 12-month contract.

Qualifications

• Coach, motivate, evaluate and recognise employees to build high performing teams.
• Understand Paint practices and material systems.
• Proactive in managing safety standards and regulatory compliance.
• Evaluate Paint methods and promote lean Six Sigma improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team to meet daily goals while monitoring Health & Safety, People, Quality, Velocity and Cost metrics.
• Champion safe working practices and provide training.
• Drive Continuous Improvement ideas using CI processes and maintain the skills matrix for the team.
• Participate in Rapid Improvement Workshops (RIWs) for Safety, Quality, Velocity and Cost.
