Job summary

Caterpillar is seeking a Logistics Team Leader in Desford, Leicestershire, to guide a production-line team and optimize resources for safety, quality and performance. The role offers full-time permanent employment with a 37.5-hour week and AM/PM shifts.

You will drive continuous improvement, monitor key metrics, coach staff, and ensure adherence to safety standards while supporting Lean/Six Sigma initiatives across the operation.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or above or equivalent.
• Hands-on logistics or production experience.
• Experience using SAP and material systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team to meet daily goals and monitor Health and Safety, People, Quality, Velocity and Cost metrics.
• Champion safe working practices and undertake training and development.
• Generate and implement CI ideas using lean/Six Sigma.
