Job summary

Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust in Sheffield is seeking a Band 5 Theatre Practitioner to join the paediatric theatre team. You will work within a self-contained theatre team, applying clinical and risk assessment skills to maintain a safe environment and deliver high-quality care.

Newly qualified staff are welcome; there are opportunities to rotate between scrub and anaesthetic areas, with ongoing professional development and NHS benefits including generous annual leave and pension.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (NMC) or ODP (HCPC)
• Experience in paediatric theatre settings preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and risk management skills

Responsibilities

• Work within a self-contained theatre team on a daily basis.
• Utilise clinical and risk assessment skills to maintain a safe environment.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care plans for children and families in theatre settings.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues to ensure smooth patient pathways and optimal surgical outcomes.
• Registration with NMC/HCPC is required; rotation between scrub and anaesthetic areas for ODPs.
