South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join the SEND School and Outreach teams in Warwickshire. The post involves working with children with Speech, Language and Communication needs in generic special schools, with opportunities to provide outreach across other educational provisions.

Dysphagia caseload experience is desirable. The post is based in Warwickshire, with flexible location within the county, and includes supervision, CPD

Competenze

• Essential: recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy and registration with the professional bodies.
• Essential: paediatric experience and ability to work with children with complex needs.
• Essential: capacity to lead, train staff and provide supervision/CPD.
• Desirable: dysphagia qualification or willingness to train.

Mansioni

• Assess and manage complex SLT caseload for children in special schools.
• Deliver training to parents, school staff and other professionals.
• Collaborate with lead SLT and MDT for planning and delivery of services.
• Develop individual education plans and advise on curriculum differentiation.
