Job summary

HCRG Care Group is seeking a Band 5 Speech and Language Therapist to join our Paediatric Therapy Team in Surrey. You will handle a general paediatric caseload, with supervision and opportunities for professional development, and a pathway to autonomous practice.

You’ll work within a multidisciplinary environment, collaborating with families, education staff and health professionals to deliver child-centered care and achieve meaningful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Recognised Speech and Language Therapy degree or equivalent leading to HCPC registration.
• HCPC Licence to Practice must be current.
• Member of the RCSLT and relevant networks is desirable.
• Experience in managing a paediatric caseload and working with children with complex needs.

Responsibilities

• Manage and prioritise a paediatric caseload with high-quality assessment, intervention, review, and discharge planning.
• Develop and evaluate evidence-based therapy programmes for individual children and groups across home, school, and community settings.
• Collaborate with families, education staff, and multidisciplinary teams to agree goals and promote positive outcomes.
• Communicate complex information with empathy and professionalism to families and carers.
• Contribute to multidisciplinary assessment, care planning and referrals for wider needs.
• Produce clear reports and maintain timely clinical records per standards.
• Provide supervision and training to students, parents, and staff, supporting service development.
• Engage in CPD, audit, and quality improvement activities to support growth.
• Manage clinical risk and deputise for senior colleagues when required.
