Job summary

HCRG Care Group is seeking a Bank Paediatric Speech & Language Therapy Assistant to join our paediatric therapy teams in Guildford. You will work under the supervision of a Speech and Language Therapist, delivering individual and group therapy to children with varied communication needs, while supporting families and schools.

You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team and engage in ongoing professional development, with access to flexible shift booking, Wagestream wage access, and 24/7 wellbeing

Qualifications

• GCSE English at least grade C/4 or equivalent.
• Level 3 qualification or working towards (e.g. BTEC/NVQ).
• Experience with pre-school children or relevant client groups is desirable.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapy programmes (individual and group) under guidance of a Speech and Language Therapist.
• Support parents, carers and education staff with clear, empathetic communication.
• Assist in assessing needs, contributing to reports and sharing findings with professionals.
• Manage and prioritise caseloads and adapt plans to individual needs.
• Maintain accurate clinical records in line with standards.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team and support referrals.
• Monitor progress and adjust therapy plans with SLT.
• Deliver trainings/presentations to families, schools and colleagues.
• Ensure safe use and maintenance of therapy equipment and a well‑organised environment.
• Participate in supervision, training and service development.
