Is paediatric dietetics the specialist field for you? An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, hardworking dietitian with an interest in paediatrics to join our paediatric dietetic team. The post will be either a Band 5 development role or a Band 6 role, depending on experience. This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly, proactive paediatric dietetic team with an outstanding reputation for its work in both hospital and community settings.
This position offers the chance for a newly qualified dietitian or an existing Band 5 or 6 dietitian to develop their clinical skills across various paediatric clinical areas, including outpatient settings, with a diverse caseload such as nutrition support, allergy, gastroenterology, weight management, neonates, and diabetes.
The successful candidate should have excellent interpersonal and time management skills, be flexible, and demonstrate a strong commitment to teamwork. An interest in working with children and young people is essential, along with adaptable communication skills suitable for different age groups.
The post also involves participating in student training, staff development programs, contributing to service audits, and promotion events.
This role is fully supported within the Paediatric dietetic team, which includes an acute paediatric team leader/neonatal dietitian, paediatric community HEF/cystic fibrosis dietitian, and paediatric diabetes dietitian.
