Job summary

University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Paediatric Respiratory Sleep/LTV Physiologist to join the Paediatric Respiratory Sleep team. The role spans inpatient and home sleep services, including LTV titration on scheduled nights, with duties spanning clinics, interpretation of sleep studies and coordinating with the Sleep & Respiratory team.

Qualifications

• Formal training to a BSc or equivalent in Respiratory/Sleep Laboratory or similar clinical environment.
• Ability to communicate with a wide range of people in various settings.
• Ability to work independently to ensure patient safety.
• Ability to troubleshoot respiratory equipment and manage alarms.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail with numerical/physiological data.
• Willingness to work across shifts including nights.

Responsibilities

• Manage inpatient and home sleep service in coordination with Sleep & Respiratory Technicians and Sleep Physiologists.
• Organise and run clinics training families to use home sleep study equipment.
• Analyse sleep study results and provide specialist interpretation for Respiratory clinicians.
• Occasionally perform LTV titration sleep studies on scheduled night shifts.
• Assist in managing waiting lists and diary management for inpatient studies.
• Receive training on procedures, policies, equipment and software.
