The successful candidate should have a BSc in Respiratory Physiology or equivalent with professional registration, be highly motivated, IT literate and comfortable working independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• BSc Respiratory Physiology or equivalent.
• Professional registration with relevant body.
• Motivated individual capable of working independently or in a team.
• Experience in a healthcare setting.
• Experience at Band 5 or above in Respiratory Physiology.
• Experience mentoring junior colleagues or students.
• Flexible in duties and cross-site working.
• IT literate and able to interpret diagnostic data.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex diagnostic testing with interpretation when required.
• Deputise in the absence of Lead Respiratory Physiologists.
• Provide support and oversee work by junior colleagues.
• Conduct quality assurance of work performed by junior staff.
• Triage appropriateness of Respiratory and Sleep referrals.
• Conduct and report Sleep diagnostics with weekly Sleep MDT involvement.
• Contribute to interdepartmental teaching/training and mentoring.
• Maintain departmental stock levels and ordering.
