Job summary

NHS Lanarkshire is seeking an experienced Physiotherapist to lead the Paediatric and Learning Disability Physiotherapy Services across the organisation. The post includes professional leadership of CAMHS and Mental Health physio services and requires strategic and operational oversight.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams, drive service improvement, and translate policy into improved care, access and outcomes for children and young people in Scotland.

Qualifications

• Registered Physiotherapist with valid HCPC Registration.
• Educated to/working towards/operating at Masters Level.
• Be able to demonstrate knowledge of NHS Scotland’s Leadership Qualities framework or equivalent framework.
• Management knowledge gained through experience and continuous professional development.
• Professional, leadership and managerial experience within speciality / area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge required to lead safety, effectively and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee the physiotherapy service within area of responsibility, monitor, analyse, prioritise and implement changes.
• Contribute to strategic planning and policy development for the Physiotherapy Service across NHS Lanarkshire with SDMs, TLs and Heads of Profession.
• Provide line management, clinical, non-clinical and professional leadership of staff across multiple establishments and settings.
• Provide clinical support to less experienced physiotherapists within a highly specialised area.
